These are flat rates, no matter what modality of massage is used during a session. It's important to me to be able to use any tool in my tool belt necessary to help my client when in session, and don't want my clients or myself to feel limited to certain modalities.

Modalities of Massage

  • Traumatic injuries, such as injuries from an auto accident, can cause significant pain and damage to the musculoskeletal system. Massage can reduce pain and damage such as scar tissue and loss of range of motion and promote healing to help those injured return to a normal life.

  • Sports massage is a form of massage targets optimal function and performance of the body. This looks like increasing and maintaining mobility and preventing injury on and off the field. This usually looks like a combination of techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial work, etc, but applied in this lense.

  • Oncology massage is specifically designed for people who have cancer. I am trained to work with people who currently are battling cancer or in remission and understand the unique needs of these clients.. Oncology massage can help to improve quality of life for cancer patients by reducing pain, improving sleep, restoring range of motion lost from surgery, reducing swelling, and aid with neuropathy symptoms. Massage can also help pre-operation for those preparing for reconstructive surgery by increasing normal range of motion in fascia that may be restrictive and limiting for reconstruction. Massage can help with post-operation by helping affected muscles and fascia avoid scar tissue buildup and regain and retain normal motion.

  • Myofascial massage is a type of massage that focuses on the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles. Myofascial massage can help relieve pain and tension in the muscles and fascia, and I commonly use it in clients who have scar tissue build up somewhere in the body.

  • Lymphatic drainage massage is a type of bodywork that encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. It is used to treat edema (swelling) caused by poor lymphatic flow, as well as to stimulate the immune system. This type of bodywork is for any clients who have swelling issues which could be from trauma to the body, removal of lymph nodes, or a slow lymphatic system.

  • Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. It is a more intense massage than Swedish massage, and it requires special training and a strong touch.
